Locating individuals and missing persons involves the ability to resource information at many different levels. The Agency does use national databases and public records to determine the whereabouts of our subject. However, unlike data finders, the investigator goes through extra lengths to verify the individuals located are actually the correct subjects of the investigation. All leads are then followed up with telephone and field interviews. The identity of the subjects are further confirmed using personal identifiers like social security numbers, date of birth, and in some cases DNA testing.
